Here are some frequently asked questions about Langholm 2025. If you need more info please contact us by email.

⛺ Can I put an additional tent on my pitch e.g. teenagers small tent, pup tent?

Yes as long as your entire space used including guy ropes fits within the allocated pitch area. If you need additional space you will need to book additional pitches

⛺ Can I bring my dog?

Well behaved dogs kept on a lead are permitted on site. They are not allowed in the buildings, with the excepton of guide dogs. Any dog mess must be cleared up by the owner immediately.

⛺ Can I keep my car next to my tent?

We are sorry but on this site this will not be possible, except in the electric pitch area. You will be able to take your car to the point on the road (tarmac or gravel) nearest to your pitch and will need to carry from there. Once unloaded cars need to go in one of the designated parking areas.

⛺ Are fires/barbecues allowed

Yes, but they must be raised so you do not scorch the grass. Barbecues must be attended at all times and fully extinguished after use

⛺ When can I arrive and when must I leave

The period of our event is from 12 noon on Monday to 12 noon on Friday. It may be possible to book extra nights before and after directly with the campsite. We are trying to work out the logistics of this with them now. This will be in the area for Electric pitches only, so if you booked a different area for the event you are likely to need to move your camp. We need anyone who has not booked extra time to have their camp cleared by 12 noon on Friday, though we will appreciate it very much if some people can stay on for a couple of hours to help clean and clear the site.

⛺ What activities will there be?

We are working on the programme, but this is a camp not a "festival". We have the use of a roon and a hall within the clubhouse. We anticipate that space for games such as MTG and Pokemon will be available, and that we will have music or some other entertainment each evening. We hope to have Yoga and Singing each morning, and other childrens activities during the day. More details will be given on Facebook as soon as they are available.

⛺ Are there shops nearby?

There is a footpath from the southern end of the site which leads into Langholm town where they are a couple of small supermarkets a butcher's and a number of pubs and restaurants.

⛺ Can I get there by public transport?

Yes the X95 bus service which runs from Carlisle to Edinburgh stops almost outside the site entrance. It runs five times a day.

⛺ Will there be vegan and gluten free food available?

Yes Anna from FlipnFast will be serving vegan, free from, crepes and other vegan food

⛺ Will there be wifi available?

We are not sure yet. Mobile phone signal and 4/5G data speeds on site seem to be good though
