Rainbow H.E. @ Newark is a week long event for home educating families at Newark Showground in Nottinghamshire. The goal is to bring together home educators from all over the UK to enjoy a week of camping, activities, live music and community.

There’s plenty to do every day with activities ranging from crafts, circus skills, games, new skills, dancing, social groups, stories, sports and more.

In the evenings there’s live music on the main stage as well as opportunities for attendees to show off their own skills at the open mic.

The whole event is built around the home education community so it’s a great opportunity to meet others from all over the country. Swap tips and talk about your experiences with those you meet. There are groups for young people to make new friends and the Summer Ball on Saturday evening.

If you have your own small business or otherwise have something to buy or sell there’s the market on the Village Green on Sunday.

The sports field will host activities and be available for use throughout the whole week.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with the event itself. If you’d like to volunteer there are plenty of options from the Event Team, Production Crew, First Aid or running an activity and you’ll get a discount for helping out.
